More evidence of the Lync ‘wave of adoption’ entering the channel consciousness

In terms of telecoms distribution players there are few that combine long term experience with innovation that translates into business value for the channel like Nimans.

And Nimans is reporting a 70% ‘explosion’ in Microsoft Lync end point sales as the growth in Unified Communications solutions accelerates.

Earlier this year Nimans published a valuable resource guiding resellers to ‘make the right choice’ with Lync end points, as a key element of a partner accreditation programme.

Nimans are keen to point out that even if resellers are not selling Lync itself, there’s still strong opportunity in end points such as headsets, telephony and conferencing.

“The continued growth of MS Lync has triggered a huge rise in associated end points,” says Nimans’ Head of Category Sales, Paul Burn. “So far this year we’ve seen sales rocket by 70% as we help more and more customers obtain manufacturer accreditation through comprehensive day-to-day support.

“UC is being adopted by UK businesses at a significant rate which in turn accelerates demand for high quality optimised end points. Helping your customers choose the most appropriate devices is one of the most crucial components of any deployment. It’s why we launched the informative guide that combines specialist advice with a comprehensive product overview, focusing on all the key areas.”

Paul concluded: “Help your customers achieve seamless integration and maximise overall performance as part of a rewarding and positive user experience. Don’t miss out on sales and revenue opportunities inspired by the significant growth in demand and adoption of UC such as Lync.”

Like all waves, this particular wave of adoption combines creative and destructive potential in significant measure. How the channel react to and use its power will define a lot of players’ futures.
